I got my first real camera for Christmas as a teenager, but I had started taking photos years earlier.I remember as a child finding an old Polaroid of my father's buried in our family garage. We spent hours trying to get it to work again and although we never managed to succeed, my curiosity was piqued. I would spend hours dressing my younger sibling and friends and taking photos of my fashion models, then using computer programs to make fake magazines.
My senior year of high school I took a trip with a friend and we borrowed his mother's expensive Canon. I took over a thousand photos in a week. I started taking classes and shooting everywhere I could, and by college, Carlotta Rose Photography was born.
