I got my first real camera for Christmas as a teenager, but I had started taking photos years earlier. I remember as a child finding an old Polaroid of my father's buried in our family garage. We spent hours trying to get it to work again and although we never managed to succeed, my curiosity was piqued. I would spend hours dressing my younger sibling and friends and taking photos of my fashion models - and then using computer programs to make fake magazines.
My senior year of highschool, I took a trip with a friend, and we borrowed his mother's expensive Canon for the adventure. I took over 1000 photos in a week, and fell in love with the sound of a shutter click. I began taking classes and practicing everywhere I could and by my freshman year of college, Carlotta Rose Photography was born.
